Who may participate?
We expect advanced master students and PhD students, postdocs and young staff scientists from Russia, former Soviet Union countries (including Central Asia which is seriously affected by regional climate change), North Africa, Asia and other developing countries. The number of participants is expected to be around 30 (15 from Russia and 15 from other countries). Basic specialization in one of the fields of satellite remote sensing, climatology, oceanography, meteorology, water resources is required as well as good knowledge of English Language, because lectures will be given in English. There is no registration fee. The accommodation and meals will be covered by the TSU. Limited travel support from the sponsors can also be applied for. Selection of Participants
Participants will be accepted by the Organizing Committee mainly on the basis of their qualifications and the likely benefit to their research from the participation. To apply for the workshop, please complete the Application for Participation Form and return by email (subject: COSPAR CBW in Tver) to Kostianoy@gmail.com (Cc to vignudelli@pi.ibf.cnr.it and pavel-tversu@yandex.ru) with the following materials:
- CV with a list of publications (max two pages);
- Two letters of recommendation from senior scientists familiar with the applicant; the letter should also discuss the English level of the applicant;
- A one-page research statement about how the attendance to this workshop would benefit the future research of the applicant.
Lodging and meals will be covered by TSU for all attendants. Limited financial support for the travel expenses to Moscow/Tver will be available. Please see the Application Form.

Notifications about acceptance will be sent to the applicants at around 1 May 2014.
